LATINA Style Magazine proudly announces the LATINA Style 50 Report for 2013. Now in its 16th year, the annual report sets the standard for identifying corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S. The LATINA Style 50 Report is the most respected evaluation of corporate America’s career advancement opportunities for Latinas.

Companies responding to LATINA Style’s questionnaire are evaluated based on issues that LATINA Style readers identified as most important to them in the workplace. Among the principal areas of evaluation are: number of Latina executives, Latina retention, mentoring programs, educational opportunities, alternative work policies, employee benefits, women’s issues, job retraining, affinity groups, and Hispanic relations. This year there was special interest in opportunities available for military veterans and students, as well as the health benefits for employees. Evaluations for the 2013 annual report were based on 2012 data.

“Every year, since 1998, we have produced the LATINA Style 50 Special Report listing the best companies for Latina professionals to work. It is our job to assist them in identifying the companies that will provide them with the best opportunities to succeed,” says Robert E. Bard, President and CEO of LATINA Style, Inc. “This year, we welcome back a returning champion, AT&T, as the company of the year. We congratulate them for their efforts and commitment to make Latina talent a priority.”

AT&T, headquartered in Dallas, TX is the “2013 Company of the Year.” AT&T is one of the world’s leading telecommunication companies. Its mission of creating innovative consumer devices and being one of the best telecommunications providers is heightened by its commitment to creating an inclusive culture and nurturing environment in its offices worldwide.

“At AT&T, we’ve long known that to win in the marketplace, and be the kind of company where people love to work, we must be best in class at diversity across our workforce and have a culture that’s truly inclusive,” said Debbie Storey, Senior Vice President, Talent Development & Chief Diversity Officer, AT&T. “Our customers, our suppliers, and our investors come from all walks of life – and we serve them best when we reflect their diversity in our workforce and on our leadership team. This recognition from LATINA Style is evidence we’re doing this well, and gives Latinas considering a career at a great company a compelling reason to consider AT&T.”

The annual awards ceremony honoring the LATINA Style 50 companies will take place on February 6, 2014 during LATINA Style’s Diversity Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. For more information regarding the LATINA Style 50, please visit the magazine website at www.latinastyle.com.
